Certificate IV in Career Development

The Certificate IV in Career Development celebrates its first birthday with presents for YOU!

RTOs and participants have welcomed the publication of the free learning guides that support the Certificate IV in Career Development. The guides are available from the Certificate IV/ACDS website, www.career.edu.au

The certificate course will allow individuals to develop the skills and theoretical knowledge to underpin their role as career development practitioners. This new qualification will also be useful for those already working as career development practitioners who do not have a career development specific qualification.

Successful completion of Certificate IV may lead to “Associate Membership” of CICA Member Organisations under the terms of the Professional Standards for Australian Career Development Practitioners.

Career Advice Australia providers are not expected to complete the Certificate IV

Completion of the appropriate Australian Career Development Studies component still remains the contractual expectation for all Career Advice Australia providers. However, the assessment of Component 2 by a Registered Training Organisation will give the option for successful candidates to receive full accreditation for the three Australian Career Development Studies Component 2 units.
