Colourful designs reflect Indigenous heritage
Are
you seeing stars? No, you’re seeing fish, birds, lizards, rivers and lots of
other interesting and meaningful Indigenous images.
These vibrant and colourful artworks have been created by a group of 17 Kamilaroi Aboriginal students in Boggabilla. They were developed as part of an exciting Gamilaraay Culture art activity that encouraged the participants to experiment with their art skills and learn more about their Indigenous heritage.
As you may realise, these designs are a dynamic variation on the Career Advice Australia branding.
Organisers of the activity—Moree Inc. Local Community Partnership, Boggabilla TAFE and Boggabilla Central School—agree the project was a total team effort that also gave contributors a real boost to their self-esteem.
These striking designs are likely to get much more public exposure. Career Advice Australia hopes to use them for some of its future promotional materials.
