Helping young people get back on track
The Australian Government is working to get more young people to complete Year 12 or to attain an equivalent education. We realise though that some young people face enormous barriers that can impact on their ability to stay on and learn in the traditional school setting.
A number of flexible and innovative approaches have therefore been implemented to try and engage more young people in education. The Connections program is one of these, and combines personal support and accredited education in a relaxed informal setting.
If you know a young person aged between 13 and 19 who seems to need some help to re-engage with education, you can recommend them to Connections.
The Australian Government is committed to protecting children from harm and promoting their wellbeing. Before they can deliver services to young people, all Connections personnel undergo an Australian Federal Police criminal history check that fully discloses any charges or convictions against them.
