Local Community Partnerships
Local Community Partnerships are not-for-profit, community-based organisations that work closely with schools, local businesses and community organisations to help 13 to 19-year-olds gain skills, experience and guidance as they move through and beyond school.
To achieve this goal, Local Community Partnerships establish relationships with important groups within the local community. They form partnerships with local industry groups and employers, schools, professional career advisers, community organisations, parents, young people, youth service providers and other government agencies and encourage these groups to work together to deliver the following programs:
Under the Career Advice Australia initiative, 213 Local Community Partnership regions have been set up across Australia to ensure that all young people are getting the support they need.
