Regional Industry Career Advisers
Career Advice Australia has established 57 Regional Industry Career Advisers across Australia to ensure that all young people aged 13 to 19 have access to regionally specific career information and advice.
The region in which one lives can have a huge influence on the variety of career opportunities available to a person. That’s why it so important that young people have access to relevant, local knowledge when they start planning their future career.
Regional Industry Career Advisers keep up-to-date with industry developments, local career opportunities and regional skills needs. They work with their Local Community Partnerships to ensure that schools and young people can get current, locally specific information that will allow them to make informed choices about their future.
Regional Industry Career Advisers also work closely with businesses, employers and industry bodies within their service region. They use these relationships to encourage more employers to be actively involved in offering training and guidance to the region’s young people through Adopt a School and Structured Workplace Learning.
