Adopt a School
The Adopt a School program provides young people with hands-on learning in a specific industry.
It brings schools, students and local businesses together to complete a useful project. A project is normally completed within a school term or year—while some last only a few days. Many projects benefit the school and/or your community or region. And all projects give the young people more knowledge and skills in a particular industry.
Another plus is that all participants learn more about each other and how they can help one another in future. Businesses learn how to work with schools and with today’s young people. Students and schools learn more about career pathways and the skills employers want.
Parents and teachers can get involved directly, too. When they know more about current options, they are better prepared to help young people make career decisions.
