The Australian Government will provide major funding to support the inaugural National Career Development Week in 2007.

Celebrated between 4-10 June, the week will promote awareness of career development and emphasise the need for all Australians to develop skills to manage their own careers.

The week of events is expected to attract a wide range of participants including individuals, education and training providers, employers, industry associations and other relevant bodies.

The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations has funded the Career Industry Council of Australia to manage and promote the week, and to develop resources that will help local organisations and individuals to hold relevant events.
