Scholarships for School Career Advisers
School career advisers can apply for scholarships to help them gain skills, knowledge and experience through further study or industry placement.
There are a total of 54 scholarships. Twenty-seven of them, worth $5000 each, are for advisers who choose to study. The other 27, worth $10 000 each, are for advisers who go into a short-term industry placement.
Scholarships are available to teachers who are currently employed by an Australian school or college and who are working as, or have worked within the past 24 months as, career teachers and/or advisers.
Curriculum Corporation manages the scholarships on behalf of the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations. Scholarship recipients for 2007 were announced in October.
Information and applications for the next round will be available soon on the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations's website.
