Regional Industry Career Advisers

Career Advice Australia has established a network of 57 Regional Industry Career Advisers across Australia to ensure that schools, teachers and young people have access to good quality, relevant, localised industry career information, advice and resources.

Regional Industry Career Advisers maintain relationships with businesses, employers and industry bodies within their service regions and use these contacts to stay up-to-date with industry developments, local career opportunities and regional skills needs.

Through Local Community Partnerships and schools, Regional Industry Career Advisers ensure that this information is easily accessed by young people to assist them in making informed career decisions.

They also work to improve community awareness of the current and predicted skills needed by local and regional businesses.

Regional Industry Career Advisers also support the work of the Local Community Partnerships. They raise awareness of Career Advice Australia programs, and encourage employers to get involved in activities such as Structured Workplace Learning and the Adopt a School Program.
