Further Study

There are lots of options for further study at universities, TAFE colleges, technical institutes and private training organisations. You need to think carefully about the course or degree you want to take, and where it might lead you in the future.
We have two activities—Structured Workplace Learning and the Adopt a School Program—that put you in actual work experiences so you learn more about different jobs and industries while you are still in school.
Our Career and Transition Support program gives you access to up-to-date information you can use to help plan your future.
Plus, there are plenty of other ways to find out more. For starters, check out:
- Year 12 - what next?—tips and ideas about different career pathways
- bullseye posters—show how school subjects relate to jobs and careers
- Job Guide—explains 1500 occupations and the education and training needed for each
- your local TAFE
- Australian Apprenticeships—covering about 500 occupations
- Goingtouni—useful information about what’s on offer and where, entrance requirements, how to apply, fees and cut-off dates
Or talk to a career adviser or teacher.
