Working with schools

Youth Pathways is a national program with 100 service regions throughout Australia that has its services delivered by contracted providers. Youth Pathways providers work closely with Local Community Partnerships to strengthen networks between schools and career and transition support services.

Youth Pathways providers liaise with key contacts in schools to increase awareness of the program and its benefits, promote strategies to recognise young people at risk, and publicise referral procedures for Youth Pathways.

Youth Pathways providers are responsible for determining an applicant’s eligibility. They are also helping schools recognise students who are disengaging and refer them appropriately. This improves the efficiency and effectiveness of linking young people to the services they need.
